As you know, there are many providers. The ones we use for model building
in Arizona government include AREMOS, a very nice but very expensive
structural equation and database system from WEFA Group. The new EViews 2.0
is pretty good for OLS and some time series work, and pretty easy to learn
in Windows. We also use SPSS but have not gravitated to their WIndows
product so use our DOS version less and less.
There are some links in the Resources for Economists on the Web page which
will take you to many, many econometrics program vendors.
